Oral Presentations
Each invited speaker, has been allocated 30 minutes (25 min. presentation and 5 min. discussion) for their oral presentation. Contributed papers that have been selected for oral presentation have been allocated 20 minutes (15 min. presentation and 5 min. discussion).

An LCD projector (beamer) will be available. We shall also prepare PCs (Windows and Mac) in which Microsoft Powerpoint (ppt, pptx), Adobe Acrobat (pdf) and Apple Keynote are installed. You may present your talk using your own PC, or you may bring your talk on a USB memory stick and use one the conference PCs. In either case please check that your presentation projects properly in advance of your session. We will also prepare an overhead projector (OHP). If you would prefer to use the OHP, please contact the conference secretariat.

Poster Presentations
For poster presentations, the size of the poster board will be 95cm (width) x 210cm (height). To fix your poster on the board, pins will be available at the registration desk. All poster presenters are kindly requested to display their poster by noon on June 1 and to remove it immediately after the end of the poster session at 3:30pm on June 2.

Proceedings
Your paper will be considered for publication in the QSD2008 Proceedings, which will be published as a special issue of Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter (IOP Publishing). All papers will be refereed in accordance with the guidelines issued by Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter on the basis of originality, quality, and relevance. Authors are asked to submit original papers of high standard.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SUBMISSION
Papers should be submitted through the Journal of Physics:Condensed Matter website at http://www.iop.org/EJ/journal/JPhysCM. Click on 'Submit an article', for article type select 'special issue paper' and for special issue select 'QSD2008'. There is no special template but please follow the JPCM author guidelines (click the 'Authors' link on the journal web page). Up to 8 printed pages will be allocated for invited speakers and up to 6 printed pages for contributed papers. The deadline for submission is June 29, 2008. Remember that in order to be eligible for publication in the QSD2008 Proceedings, the paper must be presented at QSD2008.

(NEW !!)
IOP have recently changed the format of article in the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter from single to double column format. The new format has about one and half times as much text per page. However, the templates available on the IOP website have not yet been updated to reflect that change. When preparing your paper using the templates in the old single column format you should use the following page limits: 12 pages for invited papers and 9 pages for contributed papers.
